how come so many covers of ponponopn are missing the ja in tabun sonnan ja dame deshou or whatever the actualy words are
it’s so annoying and so common that i’ve actually come to expect that fricking gap
urgh
ii think it might be a difference in how different voicebanks do “ja”
because there are different hiragana ways of spelling it
or some voicebanks are just missing it
but surely if a person knew the song at all, and was listening over the cover they just made, they would notice a gap there??

The problem resides on the fact that the first ust by SANGO lacked of the ja in the main vocals, so when the bandwagon started most people don’t even check the ust lyrics. Sango has mistaken lyrics many times, so I always double check her rushed usts.
It seems that she was informed later because when I recently re-downloaded the ust, the lost “ja” was fixed.
Sadly 90% of the UTAU community just sees a popular song having an ust, and they render and paste the wav into the karaoke. Sadly, most of the covers of PONPONPON are poor-quality ones.
